Shelby GT 500 - 2007 Ford Shelby GT500
By Ralph Mangum - March 23 - 9:53 pmThis is a very quick car and is very much fun to drive. The car handles well and is good on gas if driven without flooring it. The workmanship is very good. I have not had any problems with mine, just a lot of fun. The car is hard to hook up in first or second gear but different tires could make the difference.

big blue toy - 2014 Ford Shelby GT500
By dan_patterson - July 12 - 1:49 pmI got my GT500 a few days ago and have driven it all of 45 miles so far. Im a big guy and I was worried that the Recaros might pinch, but they dont. Still getting used to the shifter/clutch and being very gentle with the loud pedal. Shifter has a fair amount of mechanical resistance. Ride is very stiff, even with the Bilsteins on the soft setting- havent played with the driver-assist controls yet. On the freeway, its just waking up at 75 mph.

Fast Ford - 2008 Ford Shelby GT500
By Mac - May 13 - 3:56 pmI bought this car for my wife and traded in a 2004 350Z. All in all the Z was easier as a daily driver but we really dont drive this car often. Mash the gas and smile all the time. A fun car to drive but as others point out the interior needs more distinguishing characteristics compared to a GT. The dealer tried to add 15K to the MSRP based on it being a Shelby; dont pay it! It is an extremely nice car but please know folks that this is a suped up Cobra and the only thing common to Vegas modified Shelbys is the Shelby label on the back and badge.

Wow - what a car! - 2012 Ford Shelby GT500
By keboss302 - February 17 - 5:25 amI have had eighteen Mustangs (old and new) over the years, including GTs, Mach 1s, a Cobra and a Boss 302, and this one is simply in a different league. First impression when driven off the dealers lot: Drives just like a normal car. No bone-jarring ride, easy to shift, easy to steer, very comfortable and refined. Then the differences start to appear. The ride is supple over rough pavement, but it sticks like glue around corners and you will experience renal failure before the car loses grip. The shifters throws are short, a little notchy, but you get used to it quickly. The clutch and electric power steering are light but precise. You feel low and heavy - and fast. And the car can dance.

Old School Looks...Modern Power - 2008 Ford Shelby GT500
By Dave M - February 1 - 6:40 amOld school looks with modern technology make this one tough car. A nice car to look at, but even better to drive. Sure, you feel every bump in the pavement, but with 500hp and the whine of the supercharger, you quickly forget road imperfections. A true collector car.
